my mother died and my father made me the executor. i want to reinstate the loan but i need a little time maybe a month.

    No, it won’t automatically stop it, but if you contact the lender and explain that your mother has died and you need some time to work out issues regarding the estate, most of them will work with you, at least for a little while.
