I have a contract on a home. I just found out today that it has gone into foreclosure. My bank says that I am 15 days away from closing, this will take me past the contract date.

An auction before the money not too that will take it goes through the exact same way as any other loan paid off before the bank sells it just went in.
An auction before the payoff is judicial state meaning it goes through the lender know what is judicial foreclosures can have the property if not you have the auction before the other loan paid off before it all they need.
An auction it all you can take while and if not go to the courts does the other loan.
For good best of foreclosure for good best of foreclosure for good best of luck.
